The
WinstantGold team welcomes the major announcement made at the African Development Bank's 2026 Annual Meetings in Brazzaville, where more than
USD 3.5 billion was mobilized for the Congo Basin Blue Fund. This historic mobilization confirms that the Congo Basin is now recognized as a
global strategic asset for climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development.
This progress fully illustrates the relevance of the vision behind the AXIS National Program, developed under the High Patronage of
His Excellency Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and jointly implemented by the
DRC Social Fund (FSRDC) and
Phoenix Capital BV.
For several weeks, analyses published by WinstantGold have highlighted a simple conviction: 21st-century economic sovereignty rests on the ability to govern resources, flows, data, and the trusted infrastructures that give them value.
The GoldConnect and MACC initiatives, which comprise WinstantGold, the first pilot project of the
AXIS National Program, concretely illustrate this ambition. They explore new mechanisms for transforming the DRC's natural resources into levers for territorial development, community financing, climate finance, and the creation of sustainable value for the benefit of the population.
The announcement in Brazzaville confirms that a new chapter is opening for the Congo Basin: one where forest preservation, climate finance, resource traceability, and community inclusion can converge within a single development framework.
The WinstantGold team congratulates the DRC Social Fund, its National
Coordinator Philippe Ngwala Malemba, and Phoenix Capital BV, its President Alain Lemieux, as well as all the national and international partners involved in this promising initiative for the
Democratic Republic of Congo and for Africa.
